The Role:
Support in managing the daycare element of the Children’s Centre.
Ensure high-quality integrated care and education for children aged 0-5 years.
Plan and provide a stimulating and inclusive programme of activities.
Lead and manage staff within the assigned base room.
Oversee the introduction and settling process for new children and families.
Ensure compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and other relevant standards.
Support staff development and address performance issues.
Represent the nursery in external meetings as required.
Requirements:
Minimum QCA recognized Early Years / Childcare Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
Significant post-qualification experience in childcare management.
Experience in record-keeping, programme planning, and OFSTED inspection preparation.
Knowledge of child development and current childcare legislation.
Good understanding of health and safety, food hygiene, and effective teamwork.
Ability to liaise effectively with parents, staff, and other professionals.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Experience in a culturally diverse environment and commitment to working with children.
