What Are We Doing?
The ZSL Youth Advisory Board, along with supporting ZSL Staff, are conducting this study to explore how young people 16-25 years old from different backgrounds feel about their career choices and their connection to nature. During this focus group members of the Youth Advisory Board will facilitate i.e. provide prompts and guide the discussion, while the ZSL Careers and Youth Coordinator, Holly Bestley will record the key points of discussion.
If you choose to participate, the focus group will last no longer two hours. Your group will be asked to discuss amongst themselves questions related to their careers, aspirations, and nature connectedness.
These focus groups will be running on weekend days between the 1st until the 31st of September.
Why Have We Approached You?
We are aiming to hear voices from underrepresented groups in the conservation sector i.e. young people from low income households, people with disabilities and ethnic minorities.

As well as the chance to have their voices heard and to learn more about the conservation sector, at the end of the focus group, participants will be remunerated with a £15 shopping voucher, plus entry for two to London Zoo in the month following the focus group.
